The well known suitcase analogy represents mental, emotional, or personal burdens as physical luggage carried through life. It illustrates how past experiences (baggage) can make the journey heavy, encouraging individuals to 'unpack' (process) emotions, discard unnecessary weight, and organise their 'suitcase' for better mental health.
I curated this suitcase with resources to help people 'unpack' their emotions and to give them skills and strategies to live their best lives. The contents of this kit literally pulled me out of my depression and I have been wanting to help others find the resources to heal ever since. At the time I was dealing with some very deep grief and long term bullying, both in my personal and professional life. I truly felt as though I had hit rock bottom. I had lost my enthusiasm for life and it was that deeply ingrained that I was unconsciously manifesting my depression.
People often ask me what pulled me out of my deep depression and how I was able to keep moving forward and my answer is always: there was not one thing specifically that pulled me out of the depths of despair, there were many things. I had to research, I had to look at life from many angles. I had to take a step back and find a better way of dealing with the world.
The contents in this 'suitcase', are all resources that I used to get my health back on track and are outlined below:
1. Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself by Joe Dispenza taught me how to 'lose my destructive mind and create a new one'. One that was no longer wired for pain and trauma responses. It essentially helped me to reprogram myself. This book is based on science and spirituality - and this combination is magical.
2. Becoming Supernatural by Joes Dispenza taught me about energy centres, meditation and how to move into the quantum field of infinite possibilities. Joe is described as being a modern day mystic. This book will help you create a new future to go with your new self!
3. The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins freed me from the 'opinions, drama, and judgement of others'. It was absolutely liberating. Who wants to carry around other peoples opinions in their suitcase? Not me...
4. The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins stopped me from being a procrastinator and taught me how to chase my dreams just by having a go and making that first step. I am performing at work better than I ever have and in my personal life my dreams are materialising.
5. The Top Gypsy Weekly Activity Planner and Spiritual Development Tracker (52 week planner with 2 pages to a day). I developed this myself whilst I was going through the amazing changes I was experiencing on my journey to finding the true me. I was seeing angel numbers like you would not believe! It gave me great comfort to see my spiritual guides guiding toward a better path. I look back on my notes over time, and just think about how grateful I was that I took the time to see the magic around me.
6. Protection Stick - These little protection sticks were an idea that my dear Aunty created. She is the true Top Gypsy of our family! She developed these sticks inuitively to help others be protected whilst they move through life. These sticks come in many sizes and forms. This little posy comes with a vintage inspired vase, but it can be also hung around the home. Charge it with your own intention and place it around the house in a position where you can see it and feel its protection.
7. Protection Spell-Kit - This little spell kit comes with three candles and will help you create a protective barrier around yourself. You can create intention around you in many ways, and this little spell will help you protect yourself from negativity.
8. Quote photo-frame - How cute is this! I have a few of these quotes in frames around my home to help me keep in the right 'frame' of mind! This frame comes with six inter-changeable quotes.
9. Suitcase - A neat little suitcase to store your books in.
I hope you like this carefully curated pack for the soul. Enjoy!
